My fiance and I first discovered the Ibizan Hound through researching different breeds in books. We fell in love with not only their look, but also the description of the breed. We had to have one. Wendy Anderson was co-breeder on our first Ibizan. After he passed, we knew just who to turn to when we became ready for another Ibizan. Wendy Anderson of HareHill was so helpful through the entire process. It is evident just how much she cares and loves her dogs. She answered all of our questions with honesty and professionalism. When it came time to pick up our new family member, Wendy went above and beyond the call of duty as far as picking us up from the airport at an insanely early hour, and opening her home to us for the day. We got to meet the entire HareHill gang and learn a lot more about Ibizans. Wendy is always available and interested to hear how our pup is doing. Wendy is not only a great breeder, but through her love and devotion to the betterment of the breed, as well as her support, has become a good friend too. Thank you Wendy and Kurt for entrusting us with one of your pups and for always being there. Griffey Jr is absolutely perfect for us, and we couldn't have asked for more!

I have had Irish Wolfhounds since 1977. I saw my first Ibizan Hound and took notice of her when she was out campaigning. It was Bunny. After watching for several years, a girlfriend of mine, Tamara, and I decided we had to have one. I initially contacted Wendy from Harehill Hounds and she was absolutely lovely and answered all of our questions, and was friendly, supportive, and knowledgeable. Wendy didn't have a puppy available for us, so we than contacted Robin Castillo from SunRumba. Robin was very interactive with us through the entire whelping and growing of her litter, and always available. She was encouraging, excited, truthful, caring, and never never condescending when we asked "silly" questions. She also continued to keep in touch after Crash was home and for the past two years has always been available whenever she was needed. I now consider Robin one of my friends and family, and look forward to a long relationship with her through our love of our dogs.

I came across Penny and Somedayibizans in 2007 as I was searching for an Ibizan Hound. Penny was very knowledgeable about the breed and it was obvious she had an undying love for the breed. Penny put no pressure on me to buy a puppy and I felt that she was willing to tgalke to me and give me help and information whether or not I bought a puppy from her. I did end up buying a female puppy ( Cha Cha) from her. During the entire process of birth- Penny kept all the buyers updated with pictures and emails of what was going on with the mom and puppies. Penny also made the transition from her home to my home very smooth- and got the puppy to the airport at the time we had planned and in good condition. She has since kept in touch and been willing to help in anyway she can if need be. Cha Cha is 3 years old now and I have had no health issues with her to date. I recommend Penny as a breeder wholeheartedly.

Boy oh boy was i living right to have met Penny Martin for my first Ibizan. I was in Dobermans since 1969 and for reasons I changed breeds. I have always wanted an Ibizan, thank you Bunny. I found that penny had a liter. I cannot tell you how she explained the litter to me about the health of the parents and the testinng that was done on the puppies and parents before breeding. Lo and behold I purchased Tracie,Ch Someday Without a Trace, and have been thrilled with this breed and especially Tracie who grabs anything she can for a cookie. Many many thanks to such a conscientious breeder as Penny Martin
I know the upcoming breeding of Gracie will be the top of the line. Thanks Penny,

My first Ibizan hound came from Sue Fagen of Gryphon Ibizans in LaConner, WA. I have co-owned Ibizans with Sue before for junior showmanship, but Nick is the first one that I have had the pleasure of calling my own. He is a bundle of energy and loves absolutely everyone that he meets. When I take him places like Petsmart he will try to drag me across the store to meet new people, especially if they are chiildren. My second Ibizan, Dawn, came to me from Jane Crenshaw of Dragonfly Kennels in Owasso, OK. She is just about the complete opposite of Nick, while she is still friendly, she does not want to meet every stranger within in a mile like our boy. She is not shy by any means, instead she feels that she is a complete princess. When a stranger pets her she makes the decision of whether she will be lovely-dovey or look at them as if to say, "You are so lucky to be touching me, peasant!"
They are both great with our children, who are now one year and three years. We will take the whole family in the backyard and the beezers will zoom around like maniacs, but whenever they come close to the kids they slow to a walk and make sure they don't run them over. If one of the kids start to cry they always get kisses from our nurse Ibizans!!
These two dogs have truly made our house a home, I would like to thank both Jane and Sue for the wonderful babies that they have graced us with. Sue, I would like to thank you for introducing me to breed, way back in the day when I was a junior handler.

After dragging my husband to Oklahoma City's biggest annual dog show in July 2008, I told him to pick a breed because I wanted a DOG! After observing various breeds in conformation, his eyes fell on the Ibizan Hound and he said "That's it! That's what I want!". I knew I wanted a breeder that health tested their dogs, had dual purpose dogs (great in show AND the field), and knew everything they could about the pedigree of the dogs they were wanting to breed in order to produce the best possible dogs. So, being the fantabulous researcher that I am (with many thanks to Google of course), I found Katie Belz, DVM of Kamar Ibizans. After a long application and interview (which I appreciated as it shows she cares where she places her pups!), I got on her waiting list in Sept. 2008. On Dec. 13, 2009 Bentley and his NINE brothers and sisters (5 boys and 5 girls!) were born! Katie put up with my constant nagging of asking about the pups until he was shipped to me and 9 wks old and he is here growing bigger every day. He is a very happy, loved doggy who is going to tear up the field with various activities in the future and we can't wait :) Thank you Katie for our boy!!

All my Ibizans are from different breeders. I have had pleasant experiences with all of them.

When I first became interested in the breed in 2001, I found Rose Bednarski (DeJa'Vue). She was easily approachable, answered all my questions, and helped me meet up with Susan Viveiros so I could meet some Ibizans in person. In 2003 I got my first Ibizan, Naboo from Rose. I got to fly out and meet Rose and all the puppies in person. She was always there for me as a first time Ibizan owner.

My second Ibizan was from Judy Parker (Bramblewood) in 2004. Judy listened to what I was looking for and helped guide me towards the type of Ibizan I was looking for. I got Kashyyk sight unseen but trusted Judy and am very happy with her choice for me.

My third Ibizan was Kadin in 2006 from Teddy Burke (Arbeca). This was a very pleasant experience. I had started talking to Teddy when I first got Naboo and I was able to meet Kadin's parents previously. Teddy was always extremely upfront and honest about everything. She will discuss anything you may have questions about. I was able to meet Kadin's litter in person and we went over each puppy (temperament and structurally). Teddy has become a great friend and mentor for me.

All my Ibizans are on my website at www.azahounds.com

I've been in love with Ibizans since I saw my first one, Atair, back in 1983. Christine Allen (Atair Hounds), his breeder, became my first mentor, and the breeder of my first Ibizan, Dreamer. My second mentor, is Susan Viveiros, (Strangeday Ibizans) who is the breeder of my Frosty, Astro and Phoenix. Susan also was there for me with Commander. Susan even flew across the USA to be here to help me whelp my first litter of Ibizans, the Star Trek litter, (though she was also here to be the Sweepstakes Judge for the IHCUS Specialty in 2003). Nancy Wissell was the breeder of my Chaos. Chaos was my soul-mate. His passing took a large piece of my heart with him. When it was time for me to have my first female Ibizan (& my brood bitch), I went to Judy Parker (Bramblewood Ibizans) for my Madja. Madja was everything I wanted in a Ibizan female. When I searched for a second brood bitch, Paloma joined my pack, from Bonnie Fleming (Firerock Ibizans). Jojo came from Susan Fegan (Gyphon Ibizans). The youngest Ibizan in my pack right now is Buddy. He came from Dean O'Neil (BoDean Ibizans). One look at Buddy's puppy picture, & I knew he had to come join our household. All of these breeders have always been there to help me with answers to my questions, suggestions to things that have happened through the years, and support when I had my first 2 litters. I remain friends with all of these people and have passed on what I have learned from them all, as I now mentor others. Pictures of all of my Ibizans can be seen at http://www.dejavuehounds.com.
